Member Spotlight - Eric Morris

Thirteen or so years ago Eric found himself interested in building guitars. He read a host of books, learning some basic woodworking skills, building a tool collection and enrolling in some local classes.

Eric says he never anticipated the vastness of this world he had entered, nor the extraordinary breadth of skills and knowledge that have been developed and passed on through the ages. He soon found himself in the company of devoted artists and dedicated crafters intent on creating beauty and to the continuance of this art-form, who over time became his mentors, teachers, inspirers, and friends.  Eric’s says he would like to express his gratitude towards these fine souls.

As time has passed, he has developed a smattering of skills, created some beauty, and assembled tool collection that is far from either limited or sensible. The guitar is yet to be built, but that will come he says.
